So today i’m at the barbershop getting my haircut.  I decide to bring some stuff with me to work on while I wait patiently for my turn.  While waiting, I strike up a conversation with an older gentleman who I guess is interested in some of the items I bring to work on.  We talk for a little while and he sees potential in some of the services I can offer him, and before I know it he asks for my information and what do you know? I don’t have my business cards with me.  They’re sitting right on my desk in a box wondering why the hell I didn’t bring them along with me.  So just a word to the wise, no matter what industry you’re in and if you feel that running simple errands around town doesn’t require you to bring any type of personal information for you to pass out, just keep in mind, you might get passed up.

Netflix teams up with LG to introduce a new line of LCD and Plasma HDTV’s that download movies from Netflix’s servers directly, w/o the need of any extra 3rd party hardware. Netflix is really trying to dominate the market in movie rental options by incorporating its services with hardware manufacturers, for instance, take the Blu-ray disc player that was introduced in ‘08 with Netflix streaming capabilities. If you think this is cool, just be prepared to spend an extra $200 – $300 for LG HDTV’s equipped with such capabilities, and be sure to add the $9.00 price tag for subscription as well. Ehhhh this would honestly actually be neat if Netflix would have a wider selection of movies to stream down to your television. I mean I really would hate to pay $300 extra for a feature that only allows me to choose from a small selection of worthy titles. Plus it would probably be a pain to have such an integrated service stop working on your brand new TV causing other things to mess up in the process. As I finish writing this, it really doesn’t sound like such a good idea after all … A matter of fact, I may even hate it … j/k! Read more about it at Gizmodo.

Sometimes the troubles and stresses that follow us are unavoidable.  With the bad economy, stories on the news about shootings/killings, natural disasters, unemployment risings, personal relationships turning sour, financial woes, etc … it seems whatever stresses are out there are more up for grabs than anything positive.  I remember reading back in the day a special propaganda used to enhance the morale for Britain’s citizens during World War II.  The King wanted to convey to his people that even though hard times were up and about, reassurance that everything was going to be okay was a necessity.  So he put together a campaign using a series of posters that were to be posted through out the cities.  One of the posters simply read “Keep Calm and Carry On“, five white short words on a red background, topped with a white crown.  Though simple in context, these words did deliver a great impact on Britain’s morale.  It’s great to know that no matter how hard things are, if you think positive and repeat those positives to yourself out loud, you can basically overcome anything.  So remember! Keep Calm and Carry On or if you want to make it more urban modern “Keep Your Cool and Keep it Moving”.

While writing this, there is around 16 hours left in this last day of 2008. Many good things, bad things, and weird things have come and gone as this year flew past, so let me tell you the most memorable moments of 2008.

I ran across this site around the summer time accidentally.  It’s pretty cool because it allows you to stream TV Shows and Movies all FREE of charge!!  So if you got some time to kill and love you some Family Guy, Hulu is where it’s at.

You’ve seen the latest dance mimic craze all over the internet and the 2 – 3 minute coverages on T.V. showcasing Beyonce’s new hit song “Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)” being re-done by the likes of SNL skits, gay guys, fat guys, fat girls and young kids.  Well, ladies and gentlemen, let me be the first to say, (and hopefully first to start a revolution), that all the single ladies need to (put a lid on it) and chill the f@&%! out!  Just in case you’ve missed out or could actually care less, let’s walk down memory lane either way  and take one last look at some of these Youtube masterpieces.
